Project Overview
The NARS Maison Explicit experience is an immersive virtual world created by Journee to celebrate NARS’ 30th anniversary and the launch of its Explicit Lipstick line. Visitors explore an imagined Explicit NYC, moving through richly designed, interactive 3D spaces such as themed rooms inspired by global brand ambassadors and a virtual boutique. The journey is guided by narrative audio elements and playful interactions, including product exploration and digital lipstick try-ons, which deepen the storytelling rather than interrupt it. By combining cinematic visuals, gamification, and seamless e-commerce, the experience blurs the line between brand campaign, virtual event, and online shopping.
Responsibilities
During my time at Journee, I was responsible for the visual development and refinement of the virtual city, including look development, asset placement, materials, and lighting. I reworked camera paths, redesigned the rooftop finale, and captured footage for the campaign film that directly informed the virtual experience. In the final production stage, I implemented improvements across the project, fixing bugs and polishing visual and technical details to ensure a cohesive, high-quality result.
