Personal Project

Project Overview:

This project is a focused automotive visualization study created in Unreal Engine 5.7, exploring real-time rendering as a tool for environment design, atmosphere, and visual storytelling. The cinematic demonstrates how advanced lighting and material workflows can be used to create believable surfaces, natural illumination, and a strong sense of scale and mood around the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe.

A major focus of the project was experimenting with Unreal Engine 5’s new Substrate material system to explore more physically accurate material response and layered surface definition. The project was developed as a personal speed challenge, requiring the entire scene to be built and finalized within just 2 to 3 days.

The project was developed as a personal speed challenge, requiring the entire background environment to be built and finalized within just 2 to 3 days. To achieve this under a tight deadline, Gaea was utilized for the procedural terrain generation, allowing for a cohesive visual language and greater control over the landscape's consistency and detail.
